Reframing management as a service to your team
Collaboration, innovation and digital transformation: transforming the charity volunteer experience – 8th June
An event (online and in person) with the Chief Executives of Girlguiding and the Scouts looking at how they are working together to transform the experiences of their volunteers. This feels very timely as organisations look to re-engage with volunteers post-lockdown.
A Vision for Volunteering
Great resource for anyone committed to the future of volunteering. A vision for 2032 has been developed by over 300 organisations.
Sharpening Awareness in Powerful Times
The second post in a series that is well worth following.
Graham and Maureen look at the context of our times and how we can learn to read the landscape better so that we feel more at home in it rather than constantly overwhelmed.
Breaking the news
An excellent and engaging exhibition has just opened at The British Library looking at how news is made over the past 500 years. Lots to think about.
What a joke!
A timely exhibition, drop into AIR Gallery if you happen to be in the Altrincham area. The show features 25 artists who incorporate humour in their work.
Humour in contemporary art has become ever more prevalent in recent years; with artists breaking down the barriers between formality and familiarity. Art has always taken itself too seriously and it wasn’t until 1917 with the infamous piece Fountain by Marcel Duchamp that the art world actually stopped to consider the joke.
