Seeing and Unseeing the Pyramids: Lee Miller In Egypt at the Petrie Museum in collaboration with Farleys House and Gallery
Miller lived in Cairo from 1934 to 1939 and during this time she found inspiration in modern Egyptian life. She made visible her own perspectives on the country through still life and landscape photography. This display tells the story of how ‘Egypt’ has been constructed and deconstructed in the human imagination, drawing upon different perspectives over thousands of years.

A powerful, beautiful and intensely moving project. Dawn is in awe of Deirdre’s commitment to making these important women, families and stories visible having had the privilege of working alongside her as the project has evolved. If you have a story to share please consider getting in touch.
The Missing Project is a participatory work for women affected by a loved one’s mental illness or addiction. Mothers, sisters, daughters, wives – numbers continue to grow, with more than 200 participants in the UK and the USA.
