A four day week is possible
A six month trial involving about 30 UK employers including a number from civil society and the creative industries has just begun. Definitely an experiment to watch.
The standard 9-5, 5 day working week is outdated and no longer fit for purpose. We invented the weekend a century ago and are long overdue a four-day working week which would benefit workers, employers, the economy, our society, and our environment. Together we can build we can build a society where we work to live, rather than live to work.
