We can offer a range of personal development approaches from team coaching to individual mentoring.
Central to our one to one work is the initial ‘chemistry’ sessions. This is a no obligation, initial meeting to talk through what you are hoping to get from a coaching or mentoring relationship and to see if Dawn is the right person to work with you.
We use a simple but focused coaching or mentoring agreement to help you identify your goals and how we will work together. Most sessions last for up to two hours and the frequency and timing of the meetings will be agreed based on what’s most appropriate for you. We can also offer longer one-off intensive sessions to work on a defined issue.
We review progress as we go to ensure we are achieving what you need from the relationship.
Do I need mentoring, coaching or supervision? What is the difference?
We know this can be confusing and often the terms are often used interchangeably, this is how we define them:
Mentoring is usually a longer-term relationship, with learning and development as its core purpose. It is a guided process.
Coaching tends to be short-term with a focus on improved performance, like mentoring it is concerned with learning, but this may be in relation to a specific skill or area of expertise. It is more of a directed process.
Supervision is provided for the continuing professional development of other consultants, coaches or mentors. We provide a safe and structured creative space for reflective inquiry into areas of your professional practice.
