This has been a rollercoaster of a year, we’ve encountered more novel and challenging circumstances in a shorter time period than I can recall in other part of my lifetime. New words have entered the lexicon and just as we felt we were getting to grips with things the situation changed again. Trying to reflect on all that’s happened feels not unlike the year itself – where to start – there’s almost too much to cover.
Rather than go into a lengthy review this side of Xmas, Susan and I would simply like to say thank you. Thank you for all you are doing to recover and reinvent a sector we both hold dear. Thank you to those people who have had the courage to call out endemic inequalities and are making change happen.
Thank you to everyone who has given support and inspiration to others. Thank you to those who have been brave enough to say this is really hard and I am feeling vulnerable. Thank you to all the creatives who have helped make the situation a little more bearable, however tough things were for you at the time.
Thank you for joining Susan and I as we grew in confidence to share some of our experiences and sources of inspiration with you. We hope some of what we have offered throughout the year has been helpful.
We all know we are not going to go back to where we were when this all started, and we are going to have to continue adapting. Collectively we can be the change.
